Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg (born Caryn Elaine Johnson) is an American comedian, actress, author, and television personality who began her career with one-woman shows in the 1980s. She achieved major success with her role in Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple (1985) and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Ghost (1991). She is the first Black woman to win an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award) and has been a moderator on the television talk show The View since 2007.
