Marvin K. Simon
Marvin Kenneth Simon was a pioneering researcher in communication theory, earning B.S.E.E. from City College of New York (1960), M.S.E.E. from Princeton University (1961), and Ph.D. from New York University (1966).[1] He worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories and then spent over four decades at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) as a Principal Scientist, contributing to deep space missions with 12 U.S. patents and highly cited textbooks on digital communications.[1][4] Known as 'Marv,' he was one of the most prolific and influential communications researchers of his generation.[4]
