Mark Edwin Carey

Mark Carey is a Professor of History and Environmental Studies at the Robert D. Clark Honors College, University of Oregon, where he also directs the Environmental Studies Program. He earned his Ph.D. in Latin American and Environmental History from the University of California, Davis in 2005, with a dissertation on 'People and Glaciers in the Peruvian Andes: A History of Climate Change and Natural Disasters, 1941-1980.' Carey is a co-founder of the Transdisciplinary Andean Research Network (TARN), focusing on interdisciplinary climate change research in the Andes.
