Marisabina Russo
Marisabina Russo is an American author and illustrator of children's books, picture books, young adult novels, and graphic memoirs, born on May 1, 1950, in New York, NY, to an Italian father and a Jewish immigrant mother who was a Holocaust survivor.[1][2][4] She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a B.A. in studio art in 1971 and began her career in children's literature after showing her portfolio in New York City, selling her first book, The Line-Up Book, over 35 years ago; she has since created 26 books and illustrated works by authors like Kevin Henkes.[2][4]
