Maria Semple

Maria Semple is an American novelist and screenwriter known for her bestselling novels including This One Is Mine (2008), Where'd You Go, Bernadette (2012), and Today Will Be Different (2016).[1][2] Before writing fiction, she wrote for television shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Mad About You, Saturday Night Live, Arrested Development, and Ellen.[1][2] Born in Santa Monica, California, she has lived in Seattle and now resides in New York, with an upcoming novel Go Gentle set for 2026.[1][2][3]
