Julie Garwood
Julie Garwood was an American romance novelist born December 26, 1944, who wrote over 27 novels in historical and suspense subgenres, achieving at least 24 New York Times Bestsellers. Growing up in a large Irish-American family, she began her writing career when her youngest child entered school, publishing her first novel Gentle Warrior in 1985. With over 40 million copies of her books in print across 32 languages, she became one of the most successful romance authors of her time before passing away on June 8, 2023.
