John Taylor
John Taylor (1952–present) is an American writer, critic, and translator born in Des Moines, Iowa. He studied mathematics at the University of Idaho and later literature and philosophy in Germany, eventually settling in France. Taylor is a polyglot literary critic and author of numerous collections of poetry, stories, and short prose, serving as a bridge between European and English-language literature.
