Herbert Agar

Herbert Sebastian Agar was an American journalist, historian, and editor of the Louisville Courier-Journal who won the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1933 for his book The People's Choice[2][4]. He authored numerous works on American democracy and history, including A Time for Greatness and The Price of Union, before settling in England after World War II[2][6]. Agar died at age 83 in Sussex, England, on November 24, 1980[1][4].
