Grace Livingston Hill
Grace Livingston Hill (1865–1947) was an early 20th-century American novelist who wrote over 100 novels and numerous short stories, often under the pseudonym Marcia Macdonald, featuring young Christian women or conversions within her moral tales.[1][3] Born to a Presbyterian minister and an author, she incorporated contemporary issues into her Christian romance stories and founded a Sunday school mission near Swarthmore.[3][5] She died of cancer at age 81.[3][9]
