The Ransom

Christobel Kershaw and her brother Randall are called home from their respective schools for their stepmother's funeral. They find the mansion their father bought to be too large and uninviting and their father tired and worn down. Christobel longs for the joyful days of her childhood, but her family seems so divided. Then just as their trust and love for each other is being rebuilt, disaster strikes. Randall has disappeared and a ransom request has been delivered. Can an old friend be of help, and will it come in time?
