Douglas Gray

Douglas Gray (1930–2017) was a New Zealand-born literary scholar and Fellow of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, who served as the R. R. Tolkien Professor of English Literature and Language at the University of Oxford. He is renowned for his extensive research on medieval literature and his contributions to the academic understanding of English literary history.
