Dorie Greenspan

Dorie Greenspan is an American cookbook author and baker born in Brooklyn, New York, who initially pursued a PhD in gerontology before transitioning to a culinary career. Encouraged by her husband to pursue baking, she became an internationally recognized author of 14 cookbooks and has won five James Beard awards and the Cookbook of the Year award. She has been mentored by Julia Child, served as a columnist for The New York Times Magazine and The Washington Post, and was awarded the Mérite d'Agricole by the French Consulate for her writings about French cuisine.
