David Bedford
David Vickerman Bedford (1937–2011) was a British composer and musician known for his work in both classical and popular music, including avant-garde compositions and arrangements for rock artists like Kevin Ayers. Born into a musical family with composer grandmother Liza Lehmann and soprano mother Lesley Duff, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music and with Luigi Nono in Venice, later serving as Composer in Residence at Queen's College, London from 1969 to 1981.
