THIS BOOK HAS NOT BEEN PRINTED IN MORE THAN 10 YEARS!! THESE ARE ONLY VERY OLD USED COPIES OF THE OUTDATED EDITION THAT HAS BEEN UPDATED INTO ANOTHER EDITON.this is an older version that is medically out of date and is currently out of print by the publisher. the authors (Pediatrician Robert Bucknam, M.D. and Gary Ezzo) & publisher recommend pursuing the current edition with isbn 9781932740509 with a WHITE cover:) :)

This version is the 2006 old version that is out of print. Author Dr. Robert Bucknam, M.D. acknowledged that hisOn Becoming Babywiseis a work in progress:"We realize that some statements found in the first edition needed further clarification and in some cases, minor corrections."Dr. Bucknam, M.D. points out that these clarifications and corrections are now in the latest version. The current and most recent version is the 5th edition, February 2012 (it has a pink strip at the top of the cover) .

British nurse, Gina Ford, recognized earlier versions of Babywise in an article she wrote for Babycenter.com: "An earlier version of Ezzo's book,On Becoming Baby Wise: Giving Your Infant the Gift of Nighttime Sleepignited a firestorm of controversy in the U.S." Gina Ford went on to say that the authors of Babywise made critical and needed adjustments after their first versions of this best seller: "Ezzo adjusted his advice on feeding in the subsequent edition of his book."This 2006 version is not current with the critical adjustments that Ford and other experts refer to as needed. FROM THE AUTHOR
Dr Robert Bucknam, M.D. acknowledged that his On Becoming Babywise is a work in progress in a 1998 article (the entire article by Dr. Bucknam, M.D. can be seen at babywisebooks.com) :"We realize that some statements found in the first edition needed further clarification and in some cases, minor corrections." Dr. Bucknam, M.D. points out that these clarifications and corrections are now in the latest version. On Becoming Babywise has four prior versions that do not have all the clarifications, corrections, and latest medical update-- this version (with the blue strip at the top of the cover and isbn 1932740082) is NOT the latest version. The current and most recent version is the 5th edition, February 2012 (it has a pink strip at the top of the cover) . We highly recommend ONLY purchasing the newest and most current version ofOn Becoming Babywise (isbn 1932740139) .It has a new chapter, several important revisions, the latest in medical updates, and is 19% longer than the former version. In becoming one of America's leading infant management guides,On Becoming Babywisehas continued to improve its methods and practices throughout its 30 years and this latest version is the result of all the best over the last three decades.
