About the Author Beverley Johnston trained as a graphic designer and became a full-time artist in 2000. She has written for Artists & Illustrators magazine and is a founder member of the UKCPS (UK Coloured Pencil Society), formed in June 2001 to promote coloured pencils as a fine-art medium and to support and educate artists wishing to use them. She lives in Bulphan, Essex.
