Zilpha Keatley Snyder

Zilpha Keatley Snyder (1927–2014) was an American author of children's and young adult books, best known for writing adventure stories and fantasies. She received three Newbery Honor awards for The Egypt Game, The Headless Cupid, and The Witches of Worm. After teaching in the upper elementary grades for nine years, she began her writing career in the early 1960s and published over 38 books during her lifetime.
