Yonatan Tesfaye Fessha
Yonatan Tesfaye Fessha is a professor and academic author specializing in federalism, territorial autonomy, ethnic diversity management in Africa, and judicial review in Ethiopia.[1][4][5] He also served as the official spokesperson and head of youth affairs for the Blue Party, an Ethiopian opposition political party promoting nonviolent change and unity across ethnic lines.[2] Arrested in December 2015 amid government crackdowns on civil society, he was convicted on terrorism encouragement charges in 2016, sentenced to six years and six months (later reduced), and released on March 5, 2018.[2]
