YOGI RAMACHARAKA
Yogi Ramacharaka was the pseudonym used by William Walker Atkinson (1862-1932), an American attorney, publisher, and influential figure in the New Thought movement, who authored over a dozen books from 1903 to 1909 on yoga, Hindu philosophy, pranayama, Eastern spirituality, and occultism.[2][3][5] These works, such as 'Hatha Yoga' and 'The Science of Breath,' introduced Eastern concepts to Western audiences and remain popular primers on these topics.[3][4] Atkinson adopted the persona of a wise Indian yogi to lend authenticity, though it was a fictional construct.[1][5]
