Yih-Fen Chou
Yi-Fen Chou is not a real author but a pseudonym adopted by white poet Michael Derrick Hudson to increase his chances of publication after repeated rejections under his own name.[1][2][3] Using this name, Hudson's poem was selected for the Best American Poetry 2015 anthology, sparking widespread controversy and debate on identity politics in literature.[1][4][5] The name belongs to a real Chinese-American woman from Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose family demanded Hudson cease using it.[6]
