Yangzom Brauen
Yangzom Brauen is a Swiss-Tibetan actress, director, writer, and activist born to a Swiss anthropologist father and Tibetan artist mother. She wrote the bestselling memoir 'Across Many Mountains' (originally 'Eisenvogel' in German), chronicling her family's escape from Tibet across three generations, which has been translated into 12 languages. Her award-winning short film 'Born in Battle' about child soldiers earned the CICT-UNESCO Enrico Fulchignoni Award and the UNESCO Gandhi Medal.
