Y. DANIEL LIANG

Y. Daniel Liang is a renowned computer science educator and author, holding a BS (1983) and MS (1986) in computer science from Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and a PhD (1991) from the University of Oklahoma. He served as an associate professor at Purdue University Fort Wayne, earning Excellence in Research awards, before joining Georgia Southern University in 2000 and retiring in 2024. Liang has authored over thirty widely adopted computer science textbooks, published research in top journals, and was elected a Java Champion in 2005.
