Wolfgang Wagner

Wolfgang Wagner (1919–2010) was a German opera director best known as the long-time director of the Bayreuth Festival, which he co-led with his brother Wieland from 1951 until Wieland's death in 1966, thereafter serving alone until his retirement in 2008. He was the son of Siegfried Wagner and grandson of composer Richard Wagner, as well as great-grandson of Franz Liszt.
