Wolfgang Schivelbusch

Wolfgang Schivelbusch was a German cultural historian, scholar, and author known for his influential works on the history of mentalities, politics, culture, and society. Born in Berlin, he studied literature, sociology, and philosophy, and his books were widely translated and received numerous prizes. He lived and worked for many years in Berlin and New York.
