William Whyte

William H. Whyte (1917–1999), also known as Holly Whyte, was an American journalist, urbanist, sociologist, and organizational analyst best known for his influential work on how people use public spaces. His writing and research helped shape modern urban planning and city design, especially through observations of pedestrian behavior and social life in cities.
