William Taylor
William Taylor (1938–2015) was a New Zealand author best known for his fiction for children and young adults, often marked by wry humor, rural realism, and a concern for justice and compassion. Before becoming a full-time writer, he worked as a primary-school teacher, principal, and mayor of Ohakune, and he later earned recognition for his contributions to children's literature and the community.
