William Sloane

William Milligan Sloane III (1906–1974) was an American author, publisher, and editor best known for his fantasy and science fiction novels, especially *To Walk the Night* and *The Edge of Running Water*. He also founded William Sloane Associates and later directed Rutgers University Press.
