William Skeen

William Louis Henry Skeen (1847–1903) was an English photographer active in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) who documented tea and coffee cultivation, railway construction, landscapes, and local inhabitants during the second half of the 19th century. He studied at the London School of Photography and took over a photographic studio in Colombo in 1860, building W.L.H. Skeen & Co. into the most successful photography company in Ceylon by the 1870s.
