William R. Uttal

William R. Uttal was an American psychologist and engineer known for his work in cognitive science and for his criticism of cognitive neuroscience, especially his advocacy of distributed neural processing. He was a professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Michigan and wrote influential books on the mind-brain relationship and the limits of brain localization.
