William R Trotter

William R. Trotter (1943–2018) was an American author and historian known for his works on history, music, and true crime, including 'The Sands of Pride,' a novel set during the Civil War, and 'Deadly Kin,' a true story of mass family murder. He graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in 1966 and held various careers in writing, editing, banking, film, and bookselling before focusing on authorship. Trotter passed away in Greensboro, North Carolina, after battling pancreatic cancer.
