William P Young
William Paul Young is a Canadian author best known for his novel The Shack, which sold over 25 million copies and was adapted into a major motion picture. Born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, he was raised by missionary parents among the Dani tribe in the highlands of Netherlands New Guinea (West Papua) during his early childhood. He later settled in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, married Kim, and has six children; his works include religious and inspirational books like Cross Roads, Eve, and Lies We Believe About God.
