William M. Healy

William M. 'Bill' Healy is a wildlife biologist and author known for his pioneering research on wild turkeys and forest ecosystems. He earned his bachelor's degree in Forestry (1964) and master's in Wildlife Management (1967) from Penn State University, followed by a Ph.D. in Forest Resource Science (1978) from West Virginia University. Healy had a 33-year career with the USDA Forest Service, retiring in 2000, and co-edited books such as *Oak Forest Ecosystems: Ecology and Management for Wildlife* and authored *Wild Turkey Harvest Management*.[1]
