William M. Del Grande

William M. LeoGrande is a Professor of Government and Dean Emeritus of the American University School of Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., specializing in Latin American politics and U.S. foreign policy toward Latin America. He holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. from Syracuse University and has authored five books, including *Our Own Backyard: The United States in Central America, 1977–1992* and *Back Channel to Cuba*. A frequent adviser to government and private sector agencies, he has served on staffs of U.S. Senate and House committees and is a non-resident fellow at the Quincy Institute.
