William Joyce
William Edward Joyce is an American writer, illustrator, and filmmaker born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who has achieved worldwide recognition for his children's books and animation work. He has written and illustrated over 50 children's books translated into more than 40 languages, and won an Academy Award in 2012 for the animated short film The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. Joyce is a pioneer in the digital and animation industry who has also produced television series including George Shrinks and Rolie Polie Olie.
