William James Hamilton

William James Hamilton (1903–1975) was a prominent Irish anatomist and embryologist born in Ballytober, Islandmagee, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He studied at Queen's University, Belfast, earning a BSc with first-class honours in 1926 and topping the final medical examinations in 1929, later becoming a leading figure in anatomy with qualifications including MD (1936), FRCOG (1959), and FRCS (1968). He served as President of the Anatomical Society of Great Britain and Ireland from 1953 to 1955 and was honored with an honorary DSc in 1968.[1][3][7]
