William Estep

William Roscoe Estep (1920–2000) was an American Baptist historian and professor, renowned as an authority on the Anabaptist movement. He taught church history at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for over three decades (1954–1990) and authored numerous works on Baptist and Anabaptist history, religious liberty, and world missions. His most significant contribution was in studying the 16th-century Anabaptists and their influence on Baptist origins.
