William Dudley
William Sheldon Dudley (born July 14, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York) is a prominent naval historian who served as Director of Naval History and Director of the Naval Historical Center in Washington, D.C., from 1995 to 2004. He is recognized for his contributions to the study of United States Navy history.
