William Brandon

William Edward Brandon (1914–2002) was an American writer, historian, and lawyer best known for his works on Native Americans and the American West.[1][2] Born in Kokomo, Indiana, he spent his childhood in various places including the Yucatán and New Mexico, and published short fiction, essays, poetry, and books throughout his career.[1][2] He died of cancer in Clearlake, California, with his final book, *The Rise and Fall of North American Indians*, published posthumously.[1]
