William Boyd

William Boyd is a British novelist, short story writer, screenwriter, and film director, best known for acclaimed novels such as A Good Man in Africa (1981), Any Human Heart (2002), and Restless (2006). Born in Accra, Ghana, in 1952, he grew up in Ghana and Nigeria, was educated at Gordonstoun School and universities including Nice, Glasgow, and Oxford, and has won numerous awards including the Whitbread First Novel Award and the Costa Book Award. His works often feature narrative vitality, with settings connecting Africa and Europe, and he has also written screenplays like Chaplin (1992) and directed The Trench (1999).[1][2][3]
