William B. Sanders

William B. Sanders (1942-2017), also known as William Sundown, was an American science fiction writer and editor whose work often incorporated his Native American heritage, dry humor, and cynicism. He was noted for alternate history novels like Journey to Fusang (1988), The Wild Blue and the Gray (1991), and The Ballad of Billy Badass and the Rose of Turkestan (1998), and won two Sidewise Awards for short stories 'The Undiscovered' and 'Empire'. He served as senior editor of the online magazine Helix SF.
