Wilhelm Hauff
Wilhelm Hauff was a German poet and novelist best known for his fairy tales, including "Little Muck" and "The Story of the Caliph Stork," as well as the historical novel "Lichtenstein." Born in Stuttgart, he studied at the University of Tübingen, wrote prolifically in a short career, and died at the age of 24 in 1827.
