Wilfrid Sheed

Wilfrid Sheed was an English-born American author, essayist, novelist, and critic known for satirical fiction, literary criticism, and nonfiction on topics ranging from culture to jazz and baseball. Born into a publishing family in London, he was raised between London and the United States and died in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, in 2011.
