Wilfred Funk

Wilfred John Funk (1883–1965) was an American writer, poet, lexicographer, and publisher who served as president of Funk & Wagnalls from 1925 to 1940 and founded his own publishing company, Wilfred Funk, Inc., in 1940.[1][2] He is known for books on vocabulary building, such as '30 Days to a More Powerful Vocabulary' co-authored with Norman Lewis, and poetry collections like 'Selected Verse of Wilfred Funk'.[1][5]
