Wilbur F. Crummer
Wilbur Fisk Crummer (1843–1920) was an American Civil War veteran who served as a soldier in the 45th Illinois Volunteers during battles including Fort Donelson, Shiloh, and Vicksburg. He later authored the historical account 'With Grant at Fort Donelson, Shiloh and Vicksburg,' published in the early 20th century, which details his personal experiences and the daily lives of young soldiers under General U.S. Grant[1][3].
