Whitney Stewart
Whitney Stewart is an award-winning author of over twenty children's books, specializing in biographies of figures from Central and East Asian history such as the Dalai Lama, Aung San Suu Kyi, and Sir Edmund Hillary. She graduated from Brown University in 1983 with a degree in children's literature and linguistics, worked as an editor and professor, and has traveled extensively, incorporating her experiences into her writing. A former travel agent, she now explores genomics with her husband and teaches writing and mindfulness at universities in New Orleans.
