Weng Cho Chew

Weng Cho Chew is a Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering specializing in computational electromagnetics and wave physics. He received all his degrees from MIT, including a Ph.D. in 1980, and is renowned for originating several fast algorithms for solving electromagnetic scattering and inverse problems, including the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA). He has authored over 400 journal papers and 600 conference papers, and is an IEEE Fellow, OSA Fellow, and IOP Fellow.
