Wendy Pearlman

Wendy Pearlman is an American political scientist and historian specializing in Middle East politics, social movements, and forced migration. She earned her B.A. from Brown University in 1996, M.A. from Georgetown University, and Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2007, and has been a professor of political science at Northwestern University since 2008, where she holds the Jane Long Professor of Arts and Sciences chair. She is the author of acclaimed books including 'We Crossed a Bridge and It Trembled: Voices from Syria' and serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Perspectives on Politics.
