Walter Simmons
Walter Simmons is a musicologist and critic who has devoted over 50 years to enhancing public appreciation of concert music, particularly overlooked 20th and 21st-century works. He holds an M.M. in Musicology from the Manhattan School of Music (1974) and a B.A. cum laude from City College of New York (1969), and has received the National Educational Film Festival Award (1983) and the ASCAP/Deems Taylor Award for music criticism.
