W. Michael Mathes

William Michael Mathes (1936–2012) was an American historian and professor specializing in the histories of Mexico, Spain, and particularly Baja California.[1][4] He taught Mexican history at the University of San Francisco for 27 years and authored numerous works, including books on Spanish exploration and missions in Baja California.[6][7][9]
