W H Dall

William Healey Dall (1845–1927) was an American naturalist, prominent malacologist, and one of the earliest scientific explorers of interior Alaska. He described numerous mollusks of the Pacific Northwest and remained America's preeminent authority on living and fossil mollusks for many years, publishing over 1,600 scientific papers.
