W. E. Longfellow
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) was one of the most popular American poets of the 19th century, known for works like 'Paul Revere's Ride,' 'The Song of Hiawatha,' and 'Evangeline.' He was also an educator who taught modern languages at Bowdoin College and Harvard University, and the first American to fully translate Dante's 'Divine Comedy.' A member of the Fireside Poets, he supported abolitionism and lived much of his life in Cambridge, Massachusetts.[1][2][3]
